I'm on page 42 of my book (Perks of Being a Wallflower) so far, and I really like it. I think that one of the best things about my book is that the whole story is told by letters that Charlie is writing to an anonymous reader. I feel like I really know Charlie even on page 42 because he doesn't hide anything in his letters. He is really honest and tells his feelings about all of his friends and some of the scarring things of his past. I think that the other best thing about my book would be that it's real. Chbosky really went into the life of a teenager and put them in this book. He adds all of Charlie's struggles and very lonely moments. In a lot of other books, it never is like how highschool goes. That makes the book relatable and really fun to read.
CNN even talks about how the book is relating to a lot of teenagers in this article.
I loved the book and the movie, I think the best part is this poem he tells about a classmate of his that committed suicide even though he didn't know him. It's really sad but honestly it's true about our world today. I also liked how he wrote in all letters, I think it made the book more interesting to read.
ReplyDeleteIs it harder to read since the book is told through letters? Or is it easier or the same.
